Forums are also known as Internet Forums or Message Boards, where people can discuss about certain topics by posting messages that are archived. They are like online interactive bulletin boards that can be good sources of information. They are also useful with SEO.

You can be known as an expert in forums provided that you share ideas or respond to certain questions properly. As a forum member, you will have your signature as you post. Forums usually allow you to have a link to your site on your signature. If you post and give invaluable information, people will most likely click on your inbound link to look at your site. At the same time, search engines also see these links and makes them recognize you more.

On the other hand, spammers have swarmed the forums for an inbound link to their sites. They just post whatever they want, and then leaving their signature with a link. They do this just because they want the search engines to see an inbound link to their sites. In response to this, forum owners set stricter rules.

Furthermore, it would not be good to post on forums just for the search engines. You may be able to accomplish one part of SEO, which is just to have an inbound link, but your credibility would not really increase. Chances are, you may even be regarded as a spammer.

It would be worthwhile to look for forums relevant to your site and post appropriate information or questions. People who find your ideas great will have a look at your site. This will improve your site performance based on traffic. You may join several forums and have inbound links to your site but it is best to make sure that you interact with the community as well. This will help you in your online success.

Blogging and SEO in Internet Marketing

Blogging means writing a chronicle of information, which could be for personal or business use. A blog can range from being an online diary to corporate blogs usually done with text content. There has been a dramatic change in doing blogs as they can now be done through audio and videos as well; but basically, a search engine optimization (SEO) – friendly blog contains text content. This is the format at which it will be highly recognized by search engines.

If you already have a web site, it would be good to have a blog site that would talk about your own site and contain inbound links to it. As you give relevant information on the blog and point towards your site through an inbound link, the search engines would recognize it and this will increase your credibility. It will help increase your ranking on the search engine results pages (SERPs). If there are other relevant blog sites that would do the same, then the results will be favorable to you.

Take note that the blog posts or the blog sites must be relevant to the information that you provide. If they are irrelevant, it will affect your site negatively. Moreover, there has been a bad practice on using free blogs to have inbound links directed to your site. Chances are, that blog may be regarded as spam and will be removed from their directory. It will just be a waste of time. There may be some administrators who would allow this but the link would just have a minimal value.

On the other hand, you may want to just leave comments on relevant blogs. There are some that allow you to have an inbound link to your site. This is better as you may interact with the writer and the other people who has been commenting on the post. It is one of the good ways to learn and share your knowledge, and also be known as an expert to this group of people depending on your responses. Just make sure that you are commenting on a post that is relevant to your own site.

The SEO-friendly blog is where you can post or leave comments about stuff related to our site. The search engines recognize an inbound link from it as relevant to your site, giving them a better impression on your site. Thus, giving you a higher place in their SERPs.

Article Marketing and SEO

As its name implies, Article Marketing is basically marketing through articles. It is promoting your site through articles, submitting them to article directories. You just need to write one article and you will have an inbound link to your site through your Author Bio.

The basic parts of an article are the Title, the Body, and the Author Biography or the Bio Box. You can write about something related to the information you give on your site. Make sure that it would not appear like directly advertising because most article directories would not accept that. The inbound link or links to your site are usually allowed to be placed in the Author Bio alone.

Every article approved by the article directories will be live online. It also gets indexed by the Search Engines. If you have several articles with a link to your site, the search engines will notice it. This will lead them to add value to your site and give it a higher rank on their listings.

You may submit articles to various article directories; however, do not send the same article to all of them. There are directories that are strict on this and there are some that are not. The search engines do not like duplicate content. If the search engine spiders crawled on articles with different URLs but the same content and they have inbound link to your site, it will affect your credibility status with them negatively.

There are ways to check if another site copies your site content. One is to check on Copyscape. You can just submit your URL to them and they will give you a list of sites that has similarities to yours, even the percentage of similarity.

It is best to have unique articles per article directory. Do not even try to ‘spin’ the articles like just changing the order of sentences because the search engine spiders are getting wiser and wiser. They will see this and it will not be good for your site’s ranking in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs).

Moreover, there are people who look for content in article directories. They can syndicate your article or feature it on their site. This will be very good for your site. Since they will use your article on their site through syndication, they will be keeping your inbound link and it will boost your site’s credibility if there are many sites who would do this. The search engines also recognize this syndication coding.

Article directories truly help in building your site’s credibility. This Off Page SEO strategy is highly recommended as long as you will be submitting an original and relevant article. Ii is even a great way to send traffic to your site.
